PROFILE ~
Joan Burnett discovered her passion for interior design after spending many years in the accounting industry. Although she already had an MBA, she went back to school to study interior design. She became a student member of the American Society of Interior Designers and went through both the Window Fashions Certified Professionals Program and the Hunter Douglas Certification Program.
In 2006 Joan took her passion one step further by becoming an independent Interior Decorator. Joan's vast experience has given her an understanding of the needs of a broad range of clients. She has created room styles from casual contemporary to formal traditional utilizing a wide variety of budgets. She enjoys finding great values and getting her clients the most “bang for their buck,” without sacrificing quality. She views the design process as a partnership with her clients and believes candid and ongoing communication is essential to a successful project. Her role is to act as a guide and a resource, educating clients by explaining the “whys” behind each of her recommendations. Her design philosophy is, “It’s not about me;” she appreciates all decorating styles and believes a client’s home should reflect their personal style, not hers.
Joan is passionate about her work and is committed to ensuring her clients are happy with the end result of their project. She moved to Florida from Massachusetts with her family and has resided in the Daytona Beach area for over 15 years.
